Our Ambassadors

Our Ambassador Project started in 2021 when university graduates joined Hanaru to support girls in their local communities. The packs are sent to our Ambassadors who distribute them in rural areas in Northern India and within slums in Delhi.

These Ambassadors approach local slum communities, explain the program and then return to teach the girls about menstruation and the use and care of the napkins. Because menstruation is still a taboo topic in many areas of India, both in family and social settings, our Ambassadors request signed parental approval before they teach the girls and keep a record of girls' names and photos.

Our ambassadors cover different geographical areas - the maps below indicate the districts where each provides their services.

DELHI

The map below shows all the slums in Delhi where the Ambassadors have distributed the packs.
